Local Group Seeks Donations to Assist Capital Region Families

ALBANY, NY (January 16, 2009) – The Stakeholders, a non-profit organization whose mission is to cultivate an informed and active creative class dedicated to building diverse and sustainable communities throughout New York’s Capital Region, is answering President-elect Barack Obama’s call to participate in service-related initiatives this weekend prior to his inauguration and in observance of the national Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Members of The Stakeholders board of directors will be collecting donations of much-needed formula and diapers for the Infant Needs Project on Saturday, January 17, at the office of the Food Pantries of the Capital District, 32 Essex Street in Albany. Individuals can drop off donations from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
