Thank you to the many volunteers and donors who participated in the National Day of Service & Remembrance at the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY coordinated in partnership with The Stakeholders on Sunday, September 11, 2011! The Food Bank did an excellent job with volunteer management and we have results to show:

• We hosted 276 different volunteers between the Food Bank and the Farm
• Farm volunteers harvested 4,600 pounds of tomatoes, green & yellow beans, collard greens and kale
• Salvage room volunteers sorted and boxed 26 pallets of #10 cans
• Dock volunteers repacked 12,581 pounds of cereal, resulting in 20 pallets of cereal containing 699 cases
• We gathered almost 1,500 pounds of food from the day's food drive.
